Exercise in general is well known to have multiple health benefits. For example, since I started skating regularly, my experience of it is that my anxiety has decreased significantly. It has helped me transition through perimenopause at age 44! It’s not just about building muscles and your heart. Inline skating can boost your mood and reduce stress thanks to the release of endorphins. Plus, it’s great to get outside in nature – especially if you can skate around a beautiful park, or somewhere with lovely scenery.

How to get started
If you’re new to inline skating, start slow. Find a smooth, flat surface and practice balancing and stopping safely. As your confidence grows, you can increase your speed and duration. Don’t forget protective gear like a helmet, wrist guards, and knee pads—safety first!
To summarise, inline skating is an enjoyable, way to increase cardiovascular health, tone muscles all over your body, and improve mental health, as well as take in the beautiful sights on your skates. What’s not to love about that?
