What to do in Miami – a beautiful City by Roller Skates

Miami is a beautiful City – what to do in Miami? Wow, where do I begin? There are so many things to do and see and what better way to explore than on roller skates? Roller skates is a really popular way of getting around in Miami. Many of the paths are smooth and flat making them perfect for roller skating in general. There are lovely long beach paths which we will explore below. They also have indoor rinks to skate at and many great outdoor skate parks.

What to do in Miami on skates – the beach paths

Boardwalk

The most famous beach path which is perfect for skating in Miami, is the Miami Beach Boardwalk. This pathway runs from North Beach to South Pointe Park. You can see clips of what this path is like by viewing this YouTuber’s video, here:

The beach boardwalk is smooth and great for skating. It goes very close to the beach and lasts for nearly 3 miles. The walk is open at night and you can find further information, here:

You can get down into the beach very quickly from the boardwalk and on the other side of the path are lots of cosmopolitan buildings which are typical of Miami as a City. Officially there are supposed to be no bikers on the board walk but people do take their bikes on there anyway. Also there are supposed to be no dogs! Here’s a map for you:

What to do in Miami – Ocean Drive beach path

Another beach path which is great for skating, is Ocean Drive. This is really popular with roller skaters and inline skaters alike. It runs past many lovely restaurants and bars and provides a smooth, lengthy path to skate on with many palm trees and a relaxed beachy urban vibe. Is Miami safe for skaters?

Miami is considered safe for skaters but as with any major city it is advised you keep a close eye on your personal belongings. There is a good police presence in the area. It is also advisable to bring sun screen, a hat and light up wheels for night skating!
